About Advances
Advances is a new publisher of scientific journals and is also venturing toward publishing scientific books related to recent advances in various science disciplines or sub-disciplines. Advances has started its operation in August 2024.
Our Mission
Our mission is to make science not only open to all readers, but also keep it affordable for authors to publish so that science should be easily accessible by everyone. Science should not be behind a huge pay wall that becomes difficult for majority to cross.
Currently, advances journals will be absolutely free for both authors and readers.
At the same time, our mission is to provide the scientists across the globe a fair and rigorous publishing experience of their research articles. All the articles in advances journals are peer-reviewed by experts in the field with the aim to publish good and meaningful research for the society. This would help scientific community to share the scientific knowledge faster to collaborate and innovate for the betterment of society.
How We Are Different
Our philosophy is that impact of science could never be determined by some calculated number or index, commonly known as 'impact factors' (IFs), which is based on citations an article receives. This is the reason, we would be hiding the name of journals in all the references related to an article submitted in all our advances journal articles. The references of advances journal articles will contain only article title and publication year following a clickable link to a given article.
To bring diversity in science and encourage innovation, we encourage articles with new ideas or concept with minimal data to support the proof-of-concept hypothesis. This should be encouraged so that thinking or innovation does not depend much on expensive equipments and chemicals to produce a large set of data. This would help small colleges/universities or the groups with not that great funding to bring forward their ideas with minimal data required.
Our Quality
Advances is a new publisher, and of course we wanted to grow in the coming years. But at the same time, we will ensure to be rigorous in everything to maintain highest quality standards from the very beginning.
Our Support
All we need at this stage is support from all the teachers and researchers around the world to help us to share the knowledge through this global platform. Teachers or researchers will always be centrepiece of everything we do and we plan in the future.
